Az első futamban Hajdú Zsuzsanna könnyűsúlyú egyesben jutott döntőbe a Szegeden zajló 11. Egyetemi Evezős Világbajnokságon.
A Tóth Evelin – Sáska Beáta női kétpárevezős egységünk is biztosította helyét vasárnapi döntőben, miután 2. helyen végzett középfutamában.

A könnyűsúlyú kormányos nélküli négyesünk Bartha Zoltán-Forrai Dávid-Veréb Dávid-Dumitrás István összeállításban, a könnyűsúlyú kétpárevezős egységünk Csepregi Gábor-Rácz Róbert Bence összeállításban futamgyőztesként, míg Szabó Katalin futam harmadikként biztosította helyét.  A Szekér László- Széll Domonkos kétpárevezős egységünk lett a magyar csapat hetedik döntőse, a  páros

Női könnyűsúlyú egypár, 1. reményfutam

A reményfutamban magyar lányért szoríthattunk, ahol a rajtból az amerikai és a holland versenyzők jöttek el legjobban, de 1000 méternél már Hajdú Zsuzsanna állt a második, továbbjutó helyen. A második ezer méteren a cseh és a horvát versenyző már leszakadt az élmezőnytől, az utolsó 500 métert pedig szinte együtt kezdte meg a holland és a magyar versenyző, az amerikai versenyzővel a nyakukban. Szoros befutóval végül Marie-Anna Frenken (Hollandia) és Hajdú Zsuzsi jutottak a vasárnapi döntőbe, az amerikai Emily Gade előtt.

Women Lightweight singles – LW1x
 

Saturday racing started with the two repecharges of the lightweight womens single sculls, with the top two scullers of each race earning a qualifying spot for Final A tomorrow.
In Repecharge One Emily Gade from the United States and Marie-Anna Frenken were the quickest at the start, but by the 1000m mark Zsuzsanna Hajdu of Hungary overtook the American and was soon within striking distance of the Dutch sculler. There was little to choose between the Netherlands and Hungary during the last quarter of the race. Netherlands held on to first, Hungary qualified from second, while United States, Czech Republic and Croatia will race in Final B this afternoon.

Női könnyűsúlyú egypár, 2. reményfutam

A féltávot a francia és az angol versenyző hagyta el elsőként, és innen tartották is továbbjutó helyüket, a szlovák és a kanadai lány nem tudtak beleszólni a harcba. Az utolsó hajrában már csak az volt kérdés, hogy a francia vagy az angol versenyző jut tovább elsőként. Végül a francia Coralie Ribeil nyerte a futamot, Lottie Burgess előtt.
In Repecharge Two Coralie Ribeil of France and Lottie Burgess of Great Britain took the early lead and held on securely to the two qualifying spots for the rest of the race, with Slovakia and Canada following in third and fourth position. The only question on the second half of the race was whether France or Great Britain would qualify from first position. France held on to first while Great Britain crossed the line second to qualify for Final A.

Női kétpár reményfutam

A hármas pályán evező magyar csapatért, Sáska Beáért és Tóth Evelinért szoríthattunk a futamban, ahonnan az első négy helyezett jutott tovább. 1000 méternél még Észtország, Lengyelország, Olaszország, Magyarország volt a sorrend, a csehek és a franciák előtt, de 1500 méternél már az U23 VB 5., helyezett magyar lányok voltak a második helyen. Az utolsó 500 méteren folyó harcból az észtek kerültek ki győztesen, 18 századdal Bea és Evelin előtt, akiket a lengyelek és az olaszok követtek a továbbjutó helyeken.

Women doubles – W2x

Finishing in the top four in the repecharge of the womens double sculls would earn these crews a place in Final A alongside the winners of the two heats held yesterday. 
At the 1000m mark Estonia led Poland, Italy and Hungary, with the Czech Republic and France following in positions five and six. During the second half of the race Hungary overtook Poland and Italy to qualify from second place behind Estonia. Poland and Italy finished from third and fourth respectively, earning the remaining two spots in tomorrows Final A.

Női négyes, 1. reményfutam

A táv felénél a holland csapat tisztán vezette a mezőnyt, a dél-afrikaiak, a németek, a franciák és a csehek előtt. Az első két továbbjutó helyen Hollandia és Dél-Afrika küzdött egymással, a harmadik németek 500 méterrel a vége előtt már 8 másodperccel lemaradtak mögöttük. A hajrára a dél-afrikai csapat kissé elfáradt, így a hollandok futamgyőzelme nem volt kétséges, de az afrikaiknak is sikerült tisztán megtartani a második, továbbjutó helyet.

Women coxless four W4-

Two Repecharges were held in this event and the top two boats of each would join Great Britain and Italy in Final A tomorrow.
In Repecharge One the Dutch crew took the early lead and lead South Africa, Germany, France and the Czech Republic by the halfway mark. In the second half of the race Holland and South Africa battled it out for the first place, well ahead of the rest of the field. At the finish line the Netherlands held on to first and South Africa qualified from second place.

Női négyes, 2. reményfutam

A második futamban az egyes pályán induló magyar csapatért (Karácsony Dominika, Varga Judit, Szekér Julianna, Horváth Katalin) szurkolhattunk, akik nem jöttek el olyan jól a rajtból, mint ellenfeleik, 500 méternél a román és a kanadai csapat volt továbbjutó helyeken. 900 méternél azonban megindult a magyar hajó, feljöttek a harmadik lengyel csapatra. A táv második felén az első két helyezett biztosan tartotta pozícióját, egymással nagy versenyben érkeztek az utolsó 500 méterhez, ahol már a kanadai csapat volt az élen, míg a magyar lányok a lengyelek négyesével küzdőttek. A célvonalon Kanada haladt át elsőként, a románokat megelőzve, a magyarok pedig felküzdötték magukat a harmadik helyre, így a B döntőben fogjuk őket újra látni.
 

In Repecharge Two Romania and Canada were fastest at the start and took the early lead ahead of Poland and Hungary. In the second half of the race Canada and Romania held the two qualifying spots securely, with open water separating them from Hungary and Poland in third and fourth. Canada qualifies from first place, Romania from second for Final A.

Női könnyűsúlyú kétpár reményfutam

Magyar indulóért nem drukkolhattunk a számban, azonban izgalmas versenynek igérkezett a németek és a kanadaiak küzdelme, szorosan követve az olasz és a svájci csapattal. Féltávnál az ötödik holland és hatodik francia csapat már jelentős hátrányba került az első négy, továbbjutó helyen evező csapattal szemben. 500 méterrel a vége előtt szoros harc volt a továbbjutók közt, Németország vezetett Svájc előtt, a harmadik helyért pedig Kanada és Olaszország küzdött egymással. A hajrában nem változtak a helyezések, így a holland és a francia csapat maradt le a döntőről.

Women lightweight doubles – LW2x

With only one repecharge in this event, the first four crews would qualify for Final A.
At the halfway mark there was little to choose between Germany, Canada, Italy and Switzerland, with all four crews safe in the qualifying spots but battling it out for first place between each other. At the finish Germany held on to first place, Switzerland crossed the line second and Canada fought back Italy to take third. These four boats will join Great Britain and Poland in Final A on Sunday. The Netherlands and France finished in positions fifth and sixth.

Női egypár reményfutam

Az ötös pályán Szabó Katiért szoríthattunk, aki az első 500 méter után a holland lánnyal versenyzett az angol, az új-zélandi és a lengyel versenyző mögött. Egy erős második 500 méter után egyre jobban feljött az élmezőnyre, ahol már a lengyel lány volt a második az új-zélandi előtt. A negyedik, még továbbjutó helyért nagy harc volt Kati és a holland lány között, de 1500 méternél már a harmadik helyre küzdötte fel magát a magyar lány.  Az utolsó 500 méteren még egy nagy hajrá kellett Katitól, és végül bejött harmadiknak, ezzel a döntőben tudva magát, a lengyel és az angol versenyzőkkel együtt. Negyedikként a holland versenyző jutott még az A döntőbe.

Women singles W1x

The top four scullers in the repecharge of the womens single would earn the remaining spots in Final A.
Erica Bodman of Great Britain, Elyse Fraser of New Zealand and Agata Gramatyka of Poland were fastest at the start followed by Katalin Szabo of Hungary, Sophie Souwer of Holland and Ulla Varvio of Finland. By the halfway mark Poland first overtook New Zealand then Great Britain, however there was a strong battle going on for the fourth qualifying position. Hungary, Holland and Finland managed to overtake New Zealand in the second half of the race. Poland, Great Britain, Hungary and Holland move on to Final A.

Férfi könnyűsúlyú négyes reményfutam

A kettes pályán szoríthattunk a magyar csapatért (Bartha Zoltán, Forrai Dávid, Veréb Dávid, Dumitrás István), akik rögtön az élre is törtek. Féltávnál a lengyelek ugyan átvették a vezetést, de fej-fej mellett haladtak a csapatok, és hamarosan ismét a magyar fiúk voltak a vezető pozícióban. Az utolsó 500 méterhez 35 századdal a lengyelek előtt érkeztek a mieink, a csehek ekkor már kiszálltak a küzdelemből. Az utolsó 100 méterhez együtt érkeztek a csapatok, ahol egy utolsó finissel a magyarok szerezték meg az első helyet, 1.5 századdal a lengyelek előtt. Mellettük a francia és a kanadai csapat jutott még a döntőbe.

Mens lightweight coxless four LM4-

With only one repecharge in this event, the first four crews would progress to Final A to fight for the medals alongside Great Britain and Italy, winners of yesterdays heats.
Hungary was fastest after the start, however Poland managed to take a slight lead at the halfway mark but there was nothing to choose between the crews at this stage of the race. Hungary, Poland, France and Canada approached the last 100 meters of the race with only centimeters separating these four crews, while the Czech Republic followed in fifth. Hungary crossed the line first, Poland took second, France third and Canada finished in the fourth, final qualifying position.

Férfi kormányos nélküli kettes reményfutam

A reményfutamban nem kellett izgulnunk, mivel a Simon Béla-Juhász Adrián páros már tegnap közvetlenül a döntőbe jutott, a legjobb idővel. 900 méter után a szerbek vezettek, őket követték a franciák, majd a kanadai és a brit csapat. Az első két helyezett juthatott tovább az A döntőbe, és úgy nézett ki, hogy ez a francia és a szerb csapat lesz. 1000 méter után a franciák átvették a vezetést, 1500 méternél pedig a szerbekkel együtt meglógtak a mezőnytől. Az utolsó néhány méteren a franciák megtartották előnyüket, így ők futottak be elsőként, a szerbekkel együtt a döntőbe jutva. Utánuk brit, horvát, kanadai sorrend született.

Mens pair M2-

Finishing in the first two in the repecharge of the men’s pair would earn these crews a place in the A Final. Already in the Final are Germany, Poland, Hungary and Romania, who qualified by finishing in the top two in yesterday’s two heats.
Serbia took the early lead after the start, followed closely by France, Canada and Great Britain and Croatia. At the halfway mark, France overtook Serbia, who held on securely to the second qualifying spot. In the second half of the race France and Serbia increased there lead ahead of the rest of the field and finished first and second respectively, qualifying for Final A.

Férfi könnyűsúlyú kétpár, 1. reményfutam

Ismét magyar csapatért, Rácz Róbertért és Csepregi Gáborért szoríthattunk, akiknek az első két hely egyikét kellett megszerezniük a döntőért. A tajvaniak erős rajttal indítottak, de 500 méternél már a magyar csapat volt az élen, a kanadai és az angol csapat előtt. A táv feléhez érve már komoly előnyre tettek szert a fiúk, ám az angol és a francia csapat egy erős második ezer méterrel feljött rájuk. Az utolsó 200 méterre hajón belül érkezett meg a három csapat, és egy szoros befutóban végül a magyarok és a franciák jutottak a döntőbe, az angolok csak 2 tizeddel maradtak le az A fináléról.

The top two crews in the two repecharges of the lightweight men’s double sculls would progress to Final A to join Italy and Poland, winners of the two heats held yesterday.
In Repecharge One Hungary took the early lead in front of Canada, Great Britain, France and Chinese Taipei. By the halfway mark Hungary managed to build up a significant lead ahead of the field, however a strong finish from France and Great Britain to grab the second qualifying spot brought both these boats within striking distance of leading Hungary. With hardly anything to choose between these three boats during the last 200 meters of the race, Hungary managed to hold on to first place and France crossed the finish line just ahead of Great Britain in second.

A második futamban nem volt az előzőhöz hasonló szoros verseny, a német és az új-zélandi csapat jelentős előnyre tett szert már féltávnál a finn, a belga és az argentin csapat előtt. A sorrend a célban sem változott, Németország és Új-Zéland jutottak a nagydöntőbe, Finnország, Belgium és Argentina csapata a B döntőben bizonyíthat. 
In the second repecharge Germany and New Zealand had a clear lead ahead of Finland, Belgium and Argentina by the first 1000 meters and held on comfortably to the qualifying spots for the rest of race. Germany crossed the line first and New Zealand in second, both crews securing a place in Final A tomorrow.

Kelemen Áron a C döntőben bizonyíthat, így az elődöntőben nem drukkolhattunk magyar indulónak a férfi egypárok mezőnyében. Ezer méternél a kanadaiak reménysége vezette a futamot a német fiú előtt, őket a holland, az ausztrál , a monacoi és a kínai versenyző követte. A harmadik, továbbjutó helyért nagy küzdelem volt az ausztrál és a holland fiú közt, a csatából végül Hollandia fia  került ki nyertesen, így a német és a kanadai versenyző mellett ő evezhet az A döntőben.

The top 12 scullers of this event lined up in the two semifinals, with the first three from each race earning a place to Final A, while the others would race in Final B for places 7-12.
In Semifinal One Canada’s Michael Braithwaite led the field after 1000 meters, followed by Karsten Brodowski of Germany, Marien Botte Ruppert from the Netherlands, Lachlan McKinnon of Australia, Mathias Raymond of Monaco and Yili Zhu of China. While Germany took over the lead from Canada, there was a huge battle going on for the third place between Holland and Australia. Germany crossed the finish line first, Canada second and Holland took the third qualifying spot.

Férfi egypár 2. középfutam

Az első 500 méter után az olasz versenyző vezetett a finn fiú előtt, őket Új-Zéland és Belgium versenyzője követte. A tajvani és a román versenyző ekkor már 7 illetve 11 másodpercre volt az első Ustolintól lemaradva. 500 méterrel a vége előtt a továbbjutó helyek már nem voltak kérdésesek, azonban szoros csatát vívott az olasz és a finn fiú az első helyért, az új-zélandi versenyzővel a farvizükön. A hajrában az olasz versenyző tudta növelni előnyét, az utolsó métereken ki is engedhetett. Mögötte a finn és az új-zélandi fiúk jutottak a döntőbe.

Frederico Ustolin of Italy was the fastest after the start in Semifinal Two, followed close by Juho Karppinen of Finland, Fergus Fauvel of New Zealand and Bram Dubois of Belgium with Wang Ming-Hui of Chinese Taipei and Marian Dimitru Andrei Morarl of Romania in fifth and sixth position respectively. In the last quarter of the race it was no longer a question who would be the three qualifiers however Italy and Finland decided to battle it out for first place. At the finish Italy held on to first, Finland second and New Zealand third, meaning these three scullers progress to Final A.

Férfi négyes reményfutam

A magyar csapat (Fehér Szabolcs, Tari János, Pozsár Bence, Radics Bence) jól kezdett, de 500 méternél ötödik helyen haladtak át. A második ezer métert holland vezetéssel kezdték meg, őket a kanadai, az olasz, és a brit csapat követte. Kanada azonban visszaesett a táv második felén, a britek 1500 méternél már előttük haladtak. Az első két továbbjutó helyen Hollandia és Olaszország végzett egy hajón belül, utánuk Nagy-Britannia, Kanada és Magyarország volt a befutó sorrend. A magyar fiúk derekasan helytálltak, de nem sikerült az A döntőbe jutás.

The first two crews in the repecharge of the men’s coxless four would earn the remaining spots in Final A. At 1000 meter the Dutch crew led the field, followed by Canada, Italy, Great Britain and Hungary. In the second half of the race both Italy and Great Britain managed to overtake Canada, which earned Italy the second qualifying spot behind the Netherlands.

Férfi kétpár 1. reményfutam

Az első reményfutamban a németek és az ausztrálok kezdtek legjobban, őket az új-zélandiak még szorosan követték, de a brit és a tajvani csapat már több mint 10 másodperces hátránnyal haladt át az 1000 méteres vonalon. A második ezer méteren Németország továbbra is vezetett, az új-zélandiak azonban erősítettek, és az ausztrál csapat elé kerültek. A finisben viszont az ausztrál fiúk tudtak újítani, így megszerezték a második helyet, és ezzel a döntős szereplést a németek mögött. Az új-zélandiak, a britek és a tajvaniak a B döntőben küzdhetnek meg egymással ismét.

Mens double M2x

Finishing in the top two was the job to do to secure a place in Final A in the two repecharges of men’s double sculls.
In Repecharge One Germany and Australia were the fastest at the start, with New Zealand following close behind and Great Britain and Chinese Taipei in fifth and sixth. In the second half of the race Germany maintained their lead however New Zealand overtook Australia in second place. Australia answered this move by pulling out a great finish to reclaim second place and the final qualifying spot behind Germany.

Férfi kétpár 2. reményfutam

Ebben a futamban indult a Szekér László-Széll Domonkos páros, a finn, a kínai és a lengyel csapat ellen. A magyarok a harmadik helyen haladtak ezer méternél, csupán egy hajóra a második lengyelektől. Kína vezette a futamot, de fiaink egyre jobban jöttek fel a lengyelekre, így a finishez már másodikként érkeztek. A lengyelek visszaestek a kemény kezdés után, Laciék pedig fél hajóra megközelítették a kínai csapatot, így még a futamgyőzelemért is harcolhattak. Az utolsó métereken végül a kínaiak kerekedtek felül, a magyar fiúk viszont gyönyörű versenyzéssel megszerezték a második, döntős helyet, tisztán verve a lengyel és a finn csapatot.

In Repecharge Two China took the early lead which they never let out of their hands. In second place was Poland, followed by Hungary and Finland. In the second half of the race Hungary closed the gap on Poland and managed to move ahead into second position. The order remained unchanged at the finish line: China qualified from first and Hungary held on to the second qualifying spot.

Férfi kőnnyűsúlyú egypár 1. középfutam

A számban induló Szentkereszty Mártonért a C döntőben szoríthatunk, de kemény harcot várhattunk a döntős helyekért. 1200 méternél a holland fiú vezette a futamot, de a szlovák és a brit versenyző is szorosan követte őt, az utolsó 500 méterre csupán 3 tizedes illetve 1.06 másodperces hátránnyal érkeztek. A többi versenyző ekkor már lemaradt tőlük, így az első három továbbjutó neve nem volt kérdéses, ők viszont komoly csatát vívtak a finisben. A célvonalon a szlovák fiú haladt át elsőként, második Hollandia, harmadik pedig Nagy-Britannia lett. A kínai versenyző hatalmasat hajrázott, de már nem tudta elkapni a döntős helyet, így az ausztrál és a svájci fiúkkal együtt a B döntőben bizonyíthat.

The top 12 scullers of the lightweight men’s single sculls event competed in the two semifinals, with the first three from each race progressing to Final A.
In Semifinal One Youri Vaes of the Netherlands led the field after the halfway mark, but both Lukas Babac of Slovakia and Ben Rowe of Great Britain were right at his heels. China, Australia and Switzerland followed in positions fourth, fifth and sixth. In the last quarter of the race Slovakia managed to overtake the Dutch sculler to take first place and China pulled out a storming finish closing the gap on Great Britain however Rowe managed to hold on to the third, final qualifying position and moves on to Final A together with Slovakia and Holland.

Férfi kőnnyűsúlyú egypár 2. középfutam

A második előfutamot az olasz és a román versenyző kezdte legjobban, de féltávnál már a szerb fiú haladt a második helyen, mögötte szorosan a román és a lengyel versenyzővel. Kanada és Észtország már nem tudott a továbbjutásba beleszólni, több mint 11 másodperces hátránnyal értek 1000 méterhez. A harmadik ötszáz méteren a lengyel fiú megelőzte szerb vetélytársát, az élen továbbra is Olaszország haladt, Szerbia előtt. A döntőbe az olasz, a lengyel és a szerb fiúk jutottak, Románia, Kanada és Észtország előtt.

In Semifinal Two Alessandro Di Liberti of Italy and Teodor-Alexandru Oros of Romania were the fastest starters but soon Jovan Djuricic of Serbia moved into second position. Romania and Artur Mikolajczewski of Poland were close behind while Canada and Estonia in fifth and sixth. Poland closed the gap and moved ahead of Serbia, snatching second place behind Italy. Serbia finished third and also qualifies for Final A.

Férfi nyolcas reményfutam

A reményfutamban magyar csapatért szoríthattunk (Vermes Péter, Sándor Áron, Markgruber Balázs, Bártfai Péter, Szigeti György, Hénap Zsolt, Vinkó Gáspár, Novák Edvin, c: Dezséri Dóra), akik a kínaiak, az olaszok, a csehek, az írek és a svájciak mellett kezdték meg a pályát. Az első 500 méter után az írek vezettek a csehek és az olaszok előtt, a magyarok a svájciak és a kínaiak közt az ötödik helyen haladtak. Az első két továbbjutó helyen az írek és az olaszok haladtak féltávnál, a magyar hajó továbbra is ötödik helyen lapátolt. A második ezer méteren a svájci csapat szólhatott még bele a továbbjutó helyekért folyó harcba, 2-3 m volt csak az orrlabdák közt. A finisben fej-fej mellett küzdött Olaszország és Svájc, végül a helvétek szerezték meg a döntős helyet Írország csapata mögött. A magyar fiúk feljöttek a negyedik helyre, előző napi idejüket pedig jelentősen megjavították.

Délután a C és B döntőket követhetjük figyelemmel, ahol öt magyar csapatért is szoríthatunk. 
 
Mens eights M8+

The fastest two boats would move on to Final A from the repecharge of the men’s eight.
Ireland was the fastest out of the starting blocks and remained in the lead for the rest of the race. Following Ireland were the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and China. Italy soon moved ahead into second however the Swiss crew was close behind, with their mind set on Final A. A huge finish from Switzerland earned them second place behind Ireland. These two crews qualify for Final A.
